‘Sand Land’ Gets Anime Series in Spring 2024 – Marca BBC

The official website of the Sand Land anime movie announced an anime series on Tuesday. The website also revealed a returning main cast, staff, and a teaser visual (pictured). The anime will stream worldwide on Disney+ in Spring 2024.

The series will include new scenes that were not featured in the movie, famous scenes from the original manga, and a new story written by Akira Toriyama that continues after the movie.

Toshihisa Yokoshima (Cocolors) is returning to helm the anime with Hiroshi Koujina (Hunter x Hunter (2011) director) as direction advisor. Hayashi Mori (Ame wo Tsugeru Hyouryuu Danchi) is penning the script and Yuugo Kanno (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 3: Stardust Crusaders) is composing the music. Yoshikazu Iwanami (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (TV)) is the sound director.

The anime adapts Toriyama’s fantasy adventure manga, which was serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump from May to August in 2000. Shueisha published the manga in a single volume in November of the same year. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English and released the volume in December 2003.
