Hazmat crews found “nothing hazardous” in material found Monday afternoon at Baltimore County Circuit Court in Towson, fire officials said.
Crews responded to the courthouse on Bosley Avenue around 1:30 p.m. for a “suspicious package,” the Baltimore County Fire Department said on X, formerly Twitter. Courthouse patrons were evacuated from the building, and proceedings were temporarily halted.
Less than two weeks ago, people were evacuated from the circuit courthouse in Baltimore City after a court employee opened a letter addressed from a Maryland inmate that contained a white powder. Later testing confirmed that substance, too, contained no hazards.
