The Kansas City Chiefs continue to have one of the best records in the league, and, as reigning champions, they should still be considered one of the main candidates to come out of the AFC.

Nonetheless, their usually explosive offense hasn’t been the reason behind their success, which is a first in the Patrick Mahomes era.

That’s why NFL analyst Ross Tucker pointed out the fact that the Chiefs’ offense has actually been worse than the Buffalo Bills’ over the past five weeks or so, which is something not many people seem to realize.

Truth be told, the Bills’ problem hasn’t been putting up points on the scoreboard; it’s been taking care of the football.

Josh Allen has been a turnover machine this season and has given up the football in key stretches of games.

Patrick Mahomes is also turning the ball over at a higher rate this season, but he’s still an elite decision-maker.

The issue with the Chiefs’ offense has been the lack of stellar talent in the receiving corps.

They don’t have any reliable pair of hands besides Travis Kelce’s, with their wideouts often struggling with bad drops.

HC Andy Reid is one of the greatest offensive masterminds and playcallers in NFL history, so it’s just a matter of time before they figure things out.

Then again, maybe this stat will make either people cut the Bills some slack or look at the Chiefs as less of a contender than they thought they were.

Only time will tell.
